Title: Tool Organization: A How-To (AO3 link)
Rating: PG-13-ish
Pairing: Ratchet/His Imagination
Summary: Unintentional dirty talk + Ratchet's overactive imagination = Much Embarrassment.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] gunmaxual in exchange for The Behaviorist (hers is much better than mine). The main gist of the prompt was Chip Chase uses technobabble to unintentionally dirty talk Ratchet. It ended up going a slightly different direction, though the overall idea is still there (...somewhere). I'd actually almost call this light-R, but as it's tactile, I don't think that's enough to really warrant an R rating.

Title: Sanity is Subjective
Rating: PG
Pairing: Optimus Prime/Primus
Prompt: "If you don't stop apologizing, I will grab you somewhere unpleasant." (from [livejournal.com profile] camfield)
Notes: So, in [livejournal.com profile] shibara_ffnet's stream last night, [livejournal.com profile] camfield roped a bunch of us into having a prompt orgy. There were five of us total – one gave everyone a prompt, and the other four had 15 minutes to write something for it. Unfortunately, the 15-minute time limit was pretty strict – we could finish sentences, but we couldn't finish where were going with what we were writing, so these are all really rough and end rather abruptly.

I actually had a lot more fun than I expected to. I normally can't write under pressure and especially not for something I didn't think up on my own, but all of these came to me pretty easily, so I was very pleasantly surprised. And I actually rather like how most of them turned out, so...yeah.

I mean it. I'm tired of it. )

Title: The Cat and the Hound
Rating: PG
Pairing: Hound/Ravage
Prompt: Run until you can't run anymore (from [livejournal.com profile] dellessa)

I...joygasmed at this prompt. I won't even deny it. I ship these two so hard it's ridiculous, and nothing exists for them beyond [livejournal.com profile] iiiskaaa's old one-shot.

Title: Why Soundwave's No Longer Allowed to Upgrade Himself
Rating: PG
Pairing: Starscream/Soundwave
Prompt: Tentacles weren't designed for that, but okay (from [livejournal.com profile] lady_aquill)
Notes: So, in [livejournal.com profile] shibara_ffnet's stream last night, [livejournal.com profile] camfield roped a bunch of us into having a prompt orgy. I've always been fond of this pairing, but I've never been able to write them together before. I didn't succeed much on that end this time either.

At least Starscream could say 'I told you so.' )

Title: Fine Print
Rating: PG
Pairing: Swindle/??
Prompt: "It's always the fine print, mech. You should know." (from [livejournal.com profile] shibara_ffnet)

Shibara actually did give me a full pairing in the prompt, but I twisted it around in my response, and I don't want to spoil what I did. I went to Darkville with this one.

Title: Primes and Protectors
Rating: PG-13 (vaguely implied sticky)
Pairing: Onslaught/Soundwave
Summary: Onslaught reflects on himself, his comrades, and the war itself while playing footsie.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ultharkitty in the TF Gift Exchange. I didn't get a specific prompt, but Ultharkitty did give a preference to Soundwave, and I knew she liked the Combaticons, so I figured I'd see where Onslaught would take me. I'd never written him before, so it was a welcome challenge getting into his head. I blanked on why they'd get together, though, until I came up with what basically amounts to the bastard lovechild of Risk and Chess. I'm now very, very fond of it.

The game Primes and Protectors is my brainchild. I can't imagine that anyone would want to use it but me, but if anyone does, please just make sure you give me credit.

Mega props to [livejournal.com profile] rageai and [livejournal.com profile] ryagelle for betaing under short notice.

Title: Slippin' and Slidin' Away
Rating: G
Characters: Spike, Carly
Summary: Carly is very easily amused.

Written for the prompt figure skating on my AU Bingo card. I failed to complete my card by the deadline, but I didn't want what I did manage to write to go to waste. I couldn't figure out what to do with this one, though, to make it blatantly AU, so it's just kinda...vaguely AU. In that this doesn't happen within any canonical timeline. Yeah, I kinda cheated with this one. I also just barely made the 500 word minimum. This one was really hard.

It's also, frankly, crap.

I'm not sure this was a good idea )

I'm always a sucker for bandwagons. Plus, this kinda has the plus of showing *old man voice* I'm not dead~ [/inside joke]

Post a single sentence extract from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations.

  • Clearly, Thundercracker was not versed in the proper handling of cassettes, Eject realized as he was plucked up rather painfully by the back of his neck, and the grip only became more painful as he was lifted from the ground and felt the planet's intense gravity trying to draw him back down.

  • Prowl lowered his gaze back to the duty roster as he abruptly cut off his subordinate's monologue, "That is the most disgusting odor I've ever had the misfortune of smelling. Get it away from me."

  • Only two sources of luminescence penetrated the blackness, crimson and cerulean.

  • In an instant, it was as if they were no longer in the foreign, organic bodies they were currently trapped inside and instead were once again in the sky where they belonged - as Starscream bounded over a fallen log with a fluid grace hidden by his strange, organic prison, Thundercracker and Skywarp immediately fell into formation behind him, their antlers tossed high as they veritably glided with their commander over the meadow.

  • No, we were simply Machine Soldier Black, Machine Soldier Red, Machine Soldier Blue, Machine Soldier Yellow, and I was Machine Soldier White.

  • They were merely shadows, colorless forms whose only purpose was to do the bidding of their master.

Title: Alien Sky
Arc: N/A
Rating: PG
Characters: Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundwave, Starscream, and more
Summary: This...is STRANGE. Let me go ahead and warn you of that. It all stemmed from a very old entry in [livejournal.com profile] tfiwts that demanded stories where the Transformers are turned into something other than humans, so I started this back in November.

...then I found it had already been done and done much better by Starhorse on FF.net with her story On Being Reduced to Instinct. So, this kind of died there two paragraphs in.

Well, I was depressed after totally bombing my GRE Tuesday, so I picked it up again since I'm stuck in everything else and managed to finish the first part. I have the whole thing planned out in my head, but since I worry I'll just look like I'm ripping off Starhorse, I'm not sure if I should even bother continuing/finishing it. Should I? =/

Not going to bother cross-posting anywhere since I don't know if I'll continue it or not.

I, unfortunately, am obedient to a fault )

The only way I can maintain my sanity while studying for my GRE is to take breaks and do something that's actually fun. Well, writing has never been necessarily...fun for me, but hey, it's better than studying. So, I thought I'd give that silly song meme a shot because I fall for bandwagons like a lemming falls off a cliff.

That, and [livejournal.com profile] lyricality has been perched on my head staring at me for the last 3 days until I do it. I tried for about 2 per study break, and I was going to stop at 10, but I can't count and ended up with 12. Then, while I was waiting for mp3s to upload, I figured I might as well go for 15.

tl;dr - here's some crap:

By the way, have I mentioned that I really suck? )

So, yeah, I figured this might be worth trying to keep myself in practice so I don't have another 4-5 year slump like I did after I finished that piece of junk Electrical Communication over in the Rockman fandom. I know myself too well for one of those 100 prompt communities, so I decided I'd start small and went with [profile] 10_prompts with the Cassetticons. Because they need love. D:

Prompts are in a sort of chronological order starting with Cybertron and ending after Earth. This will probably end up going into my 'Til All Are One AU if this gets to season 3 because the '86 movie either does what I want it to or it doesn't exist. Denial is good.

Title: Nightwatch

Characters: Ravage, Steeljaw
Summary: Steeljaw is on a mission to retrieve information from the Nemesis, but he runs into a little...resistance. (Originally written for the November challenge at [livejournal.com profile] mecha_erotica "Somebody Needs Some Lovin'". I didn't expect it to get nearly as many votes as it did, so I guess people liked it. oO My initial thought was Rumble & Frenzy/Ravage, but then Steeljaw butted in and said he needed some lovin', and who am I to argue against kittypr0n?)

It was at that point that Ravage decided the direct approach was probably the best option. )
